The Department of biology organized a campaign to distribute awareness brochures entitled "The Role of Women in Preventing Violent Extremism,"In pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions with the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Zainab Nazim Aziz, Assistant Lecturer Banin Maan Karim, and Teaching Assistant Ola Adel Rasmi. The campaign aimed to highlight the vital role women play in building families and communities, and in confronting extremist ideologies by promoting a culture of tolerance, dialogue, and acceptance of others. The brochures included awareness-raising themes emphasizing the importance of empowering women intellectually and socially, and supporting their active participation in protecting society from violence and extremism. This activity is part of a series of educational initiatives adopted by the college to enhance students' intellectual awareness and instill the principles of citizenship and social peace. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq.
