In alignment with the efforts of Al-Mustaqbal University to promote the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being—the Department of Aesthetic Techniques and Laser at the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Al-Mustaqbal University organized a training workshop titled “Basics of Blood Withdrawal.” The workshop was presented by Asst. Lecturer Saja Falah Hassan, with active participation from Ms. Shahad Nawras Abbas. The session included a detailed explanation of the fundamental principles of blood withdrawal and the correct handling of the instruments used. The workshop covered the steps of selecting the appropriate venipuncture site, proper use of needles and collection tubes, and highlighted the most common mistakes that may occur during the procedure and how to avoid them. Additionally, it emphasized safety standards, sterilization procedures, and the safe disposal of medical waste. The event witnessed strong engagement from participants through questions and discussions, contributing to strengthening their practical skills and deepening their understanding of proper healthcare practices.
