The department organized an in-person workshop on the **Bologna Process and the SIS System**, focusing on the digital transformation of higher education.
The workshop was presented by **Asst. Lecturer Hussein Ali Hussein**.
The workshops on the Bologna Process and the SIS system come as part of ongoing efforts to achieve a comprehensive digital transformation in the higher education sector by developing teaching mechanisms, updating monitoring and evaluation systems, and enhancing the quality of academic outcomes in line with international standards.
The sessions on the **Bologna Process** focused on introducing the principles of this European framework, mechanisms for implementing credit hours, course descriptions, and continuous student assessment, all of which contribute to improving employability and facilitating international recognition of academic qualifications.
Meanwhile, the **SIS (Student Information System)** workshops aimed to train staff members on using the electronic system dedicated to managing student affairs, such as registration, grade entry, attendance monitoring, and issuing academic documents, thereby enhancing transparency, accuracy, and efficiency within academic institutions.
Together, these workshops support the digital transformation of higher education by adopting flexible and smart systems, improving the quality of services provided to students, and empowering academic and administrative staff to effectively use modern technologies.
