On the occasion of World Anesthesia Day, observed annually on October 27, the Anesthesia Technology Department organized a scientific event held under the theme “Anesthesia in Emergency Situations.” The event featured a specialized lecture titled “Updates in Anesthesia for Robotic Surgery.”
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Aws Hani Naif, Specialist in Anesthesia and Intensive Care, Prof. Aqeel Hanzal, and Dr. Sajad Alwan Kitab, who presented the latest scientific advances and modern techniques in robotic surgery anesthesia, emphasizing global safety standards, clinical considerations, and contemporary practices in this advanced field.
This activity comes in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), through its contribution to enhancing patient safety, developing healthcare professionals’ skills, and improving the quality of anesthesia and critical care services in accordance with international medical developments.
The initiative also reflects the department’s commitment to supporting scientific knowledge, strengthening professional competencies among students and staff, and fostering an educational environment that enhances health outcomes and serves the community.
