As part of the activities for World Anesthesia Day, observed on October 27, the Anesthesia Technology Department presented a series of panels illustrating the history and development of anesthesia over the ages, alongside panels featuring awareness and educational messages highlighting the importance of anesthesia and the role of specialists in ensuring patient safety during medical and surgical procedures. The event was attended by the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Prof. Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qaim, who emphasized the significance of such initiatives in raising health awareness and promoting scientific knowledge among students and visitors. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by enhancing health awareness, promoting scientific literacy, and highlighting the critical role of anesthesia in improving the quality of healthcare and patient safety.
