Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the College of Nursing organized two awareness activities today as part of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week, reinforcing the university’s role in promoting health and social awareness among students and supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal on good health and well-being.
Two Awareness Activities Held Inside the College
Two awareness campaigns were organized today with the participation of college students and faculty members. Students were distributed across hallways and classrooms to provide simple explanations to their peers about the types of drugs and their destructive effects on physical and mental health, in addition to clarifying the legal and social risks that could jeopardize the future of users.
Distribution of Educational Brochures
The campaigns included the distribution of awareness brochures prepared by the College. These brochures contained prevention guidelines, information on how to seek help, and the contact numbers of official authorities specialized in addiction treatment and prevention.

The College of Nursing affirmed that these activities come as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness among students and to build a conscious generation capable of confronting societal challenges, foremost among them the danger of drugs.
