The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University held a workshop entitled "Banking Stability", presented by Lecturer Ali Hassan Kassar on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 10:30 AM in Hall 409, 4th Floor, Humanitarian Building. The workshop witnessed strong attendance from the department's students and faculty members. It covered key topics related to banking stability and the importance of enhancing banks' financial performance. The workshop also addressed effective banking policies, risk management, and financial supervision, in addition to the role of banks in supporting the local economy and achieving sustainable development. The workshop included an interactive discussion session, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the challenges facing Iraq's banking sector. Lecturer Ali Hassan Kassar emphasized the importance of applying best banking practices and adhering to international standards to ensure financial sector stability. The workshop concluded with recommendations on mechanisms to improve bank performance and enhance trust in the banking system, while highlighting the vital role of education and academic research in developing the financial sector.
