Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new national milestone by receiving the “Impact” Award for the Sustainable University initiative from the Ministry of Environment. This recognition honors the university’s outstanding efforts in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals and promoting a culture of sustainability in higher education.
The award ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Environment in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, was attended by Minister of Environment Dr. Halao Al-Askari, Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Shahed, and several academic leaders.
During the event, Al-Mustaqbal University was officially praised for ranking first globally in the clean energy category and placing 201–300 worldwide in the Times Impact 2025 ranking among over 2,000 universities.
The award was received by a university delegation led by Prof. Dr. Muzafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi on behalf of the university president, alongside Dr. Samir Badrawi and Engineer Khalid Al-Salhi.
University President Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdi highlighted that the award reflects the university’s commitment to Iraq Vision 2030 in clean energy, quality education, and sustainable cities.
