Under the patronage of the President of the University of Al-Mustaqbal, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and the Head of the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems, Prof. Dr. Mahdi Abbadi Maan, the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems at the College of Science – University of Al-Mustaqbal organized a health awareness campaign titled: “Women’s Physical and Mental Health.” The campaign was presented by Asst. Lecturer Najat Hameed Jasem. The campaign aimed to enhance women’s awareness of the importance of caring for their physical and mental well-being, shedding light on preventive measures and self-care practices supported by reliable medical information. It included a simplified scientific explanation on the importance of regular health screenings related to women’s health, in addition to emphasizing the need for a balanced diet and regular physical activity to prevent chronic diseases and improve overall quality of life. The campaign also focused on mental health as an essential component of women’s well-being, highlighting the importance of managing daily stress, recognizing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and burnout, and encouraging women to seek professional support when needed without hesitation. As noted by Asst. Lecturer Najat Hameed Jasem, prioritizing mental health is fundamental to enhancing overall well-being and achieving balance in various aspects of life. This campaign comes as part of the University of Al-Mustaqbal’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and empower women to understand the needs of their bodies and minds, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly those related to good health and well-being, quality education, and community empowerment through continuous knowledge and education.
