"College of Education Organizes a Lecture Entitled: "Tolerance: Its Foundations, Fields, and Applications" in Conjunction with the International Day for Tolerance Under the patronage of Mr. Hassan Shaker Majdi and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Professor Dr. Ahmed Radwan, and as part of the College of Education's efforts to promote the values ​​of coexistence and mutual respect within the academic community, the Psychological and Educational Counseling Unit at the College of Education organized an awareness lecture entitled: "Tolerance: Its Foundations, Fields, and Applications." This lecture coincided with the International Day for Tolerance, which falls on November 16th of each year. The lecture was presented by Professor Dr. Shaa Bahaa El-Din Abdullah, Head of the Psychological Counseling Unit, who explained at the outset that the value of tolerance is one of the most important values ​​that contribute to achieving social peace and promoting mental health. She pointed out its close connection to the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education). The lecture addressed the foundations of tolerance, which are based on respect for human diversity and acceptance. The lecture addressed the importance of diversity, rejecting violence and hate speech, and explored its educational, psychological, and social dimensions. It also presented practical examples that promote a culture of tolerance within the university environment through guidance programs and awareness activities aimed at students. The lecture was well-attended by faculty and students, who praised the topic's significance and its role in fostering a positive learning environment based on respect and cooperation. At the conclusion of the event, the Psychological Counseling Unit affirmed its commitment to continuing to offer activities that support mental health and instill human values, contributing to building a conscious and tolerant university community.
