Under the patronage of the President of the Future University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, Under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Firat Hamza Al-Sultani, And the head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Ahmed Adnan Hadi, The Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Science organized a scientific workshop within the activities of World Anti-Drug Week. The workshop was presented by the assistant teacher Hadi Salah Hadi entitled: “The use of artificial intelligence techniques in detecting cases of addiction, In the presence of the Head of Activities at the Faculty of Science, Teacher Dr. Alaa Shaker Hadi, Administrative Assistant Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Latif, And a collection of teachers and students of the Faculty of Science and the Department. The workshop dealt with the latest techniques adopted in the analysis of medical and behavioral data, and showed the pivotal role of machine learning models in supporting health and security authorities for the early detection of addiction cases and reducing their spread. The workshop also stressed the importance of employing artificial intelligence to serve the community and achieve the sustainable development goals, especially: • Goal 3: Good health and hygiene by harnessing technology to support public health. • Objective 4: Quality education through the promotion of scientific and technical awareness, At the end of the workshop, the attendees appreciated the efforts made in promoting community awareness, and highlighting the role of the university in serving humanitarian and health issues through scientific research and modern artificial intelligence applications.
