The Biology Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a comprehensive awareness campaign distributing brochures on sustainability, with wide participation from both students and faculty members. The campaign aims to raise students’ awareness of sustainability principles and their importance in scientific research and everyday practices, in addition to introducing them to the department’s academic programs and research initiatives in this vital field. The campaign included the distribution of educational materials across the university corridors, along with brief interactive sessions between students and faculty members, where students’ questions regarding academic pathways and research opportunities related to sustainability were addressed. The department emphasized that such initiatives aim to strengthen communication between faculty and students and encourage students to engage with environmental and research-related issues, contributing to the development of a generation that is conscious and responsible toward the future of the environment and society. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq.
