Faculty members from the Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering Techniques at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an introductory campaign directed at new students during the registration period. The campaign aimed to enhance their awareness of the importance of this vital engineering specialization and its growing role in supporting the healthcare sector. This initiative was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Hussien Mazin and Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Abbas, with the participation of a group of the Department's teaching staff.
The campaign focused on introducing the specialization and its key areas, clarifying that Medical Instrumentation Engineering Techniques is considered one of the basic pillars in hospitals and health centers. This is because the biomedical engineer plays a pivotal role in operating, maintaining, and diagnosing faults in sensitive medical devices, such as ventilators, medical imaging equipment, and vital monitoring systems.
The faculty also highlighted the Department's educational environment, which combines theoretical knowledge with practical training through modern laboratories, applied curricula, and training programs in collaboration with health institutions. This enables students to acquire realistic experience that helps them enter the job market with high efficiency.
During the meeting, the faculty encouraged the new students to choose this promising engineering path, due to the wide professional opportunities available locally and internationally. They affirmed that the specialization combines engineering knowledge and medical sciences within a framework that serves health and technical development.
This activity is part of the Department's efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 4 (Quality Education), by providing a supportive educational environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
