thin the pillar of Prevention and Protection, and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 (Gender Equality) and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), the Women’s Affairs Committee, in collaboration with the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Department of Cosmetic Techniques and Laser, and with the participation of Asst. Lecturer Hayman Waleed Mathloum and Ms. Shahad Nawras, organized an awareness activity that involved preparing and designing a brochure titled: “A Voice Against Violence” This initiative aims to promote awareness and strengthen a culture of protection and prevention against all forms of gender-based violence. The brochure seeks to: Raise awareness about the different forms of violence that women may face. Enhance understanding of women’s rights and the available legal and community protection mechanisms. Promote the values of respect, equality, and women’s empowerment, in alignment with SDG 5 (Gender Equality). Contribute to creating a safe and peaceful educational environment, consistent with SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions). This activity reflects the committee’s commitment to reinforcing a culture of non-violence, empowering female students through knowledge and awareness, and supporting initiatives that protect women and strengthen their role in society.
