The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized a seminar titled “Rehabilitation of Addicts Using Prosthetic Devices”, presented by Eng. Hadeer Hussam Hashim. The seminar focused on modern approaches for rehabilitating addicts who have undergone amputations. It highlighted the importance of psychological and functional preparation for beneficiaries prior to using prosthetic devices, detailed the initial assessment steps, motor training programs, and the role of behavioral support in restoring their independence and enabling successful social reintegration.
