In the context of national efforts aimed at strengthening positive citizenship values and promoting social peace, educational bodies and community institutions have emphasized the importance of human development as a fundamental pillar in confronting intellectual and behavioral challenges, foremost among them extremism.
The concerned authorities affirmed that human development begins with providing an educational and cultural environment that cultivates awareness, enhances critical thinking, and supports individuals’ ability to engage positively with their society. They explained that empowering individuals intellectually and morally contributes to shaping balanced personalities and reduces the tendency to be drawn toward extremist ideas or destructive behaviors.
It was also emphasized that promoting integrity values— including transparency, justice, responsibility, and respect for the law—serves as a strong line of defense against extremist discourse. Such values help build trust between citizens and institutions and weaken the environment that extremist groups may exploit to spread their ideologies.
Experts pointed out that the integration of efforts among educational, religious, and media institutions, in addition to engaging youth in initiatives that promote integrity and uphold dialogue and tolerance, represents a pivotal step in safeguarding society from extremism.
The statements concluded by stressing that investing in human beings and their values is the most effective investment for achieving a secure and cohesive society—one capable of confronting extremism at its roots and building a future grounded in awareness, justice, and development.
