Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdy, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and the guidance of the Head of the Department of Medical Physics, Dr. Anis Ali, an awareness campaign on rational electricity consumption was held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The campaign was conducted by Administrative Officer Noor Issa, Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Jamal Aswad, Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Basim, and Assistant Lecturer Iftikhar Thaer, with active participation from students of the Department of Medical Physics. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the importance of responsible electricity usage, presenting methods to reduce waste, lower energy costs, and demonstrate the environmental impact of excessive electricity consumption. Educational brochures and interactive guidance stations were also provided to promote proper device usage on campus. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to strengthening the concept of sustainability by encouraging resource conservation, reducing emissions, and supporting behaviors aligned with the goals of sustainable development. Supervisors praised the effective contributions of the students, affirming the university’s dedication to continuing similar initiatives that foster environmental awareness and social responsibility.
