Under the guidance of the Deanship of the College of Health and Medical Technologies and as part of Iraq Drug-Free Week, which was one of the recommendations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Department of Anesthesia Technologies organized an awareness campaign for Al-Mustaqbal University students on November 20, 2025, aiming to provide guidance, education, and awareness to reduce drug use. Mr. Ali Qasim Jawad supervised the distribution of informative brochures that highlighted the harmful effects of drug use on anesthesia and emphasized the importance of proper scientific handling of anesthetic drug dosages under the supervision of specialists, as part of the campaign’s efforts to raise awareness among students. The campaign was conducted under the slogan: “Do not confuse life-saving science with harmful substances” This initiative is part of the department’s and college’s ongoing efforts to promote health awareness and preventive culture among students and the university community, shedding light on the health and social risks associated with drug use.
