Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and the Head of the Medical Biotechnology Department, Dr. Hassanein Khalil Ibrahim, the Department of Medical Biotechnology at the College of Science – Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness campaign titled: “Domestic Violence Against Women.” The campaign was presented by Asst. Lecturer Manar Kazem Hassan. This campaign aimed to spread awareness about the dangers of domestic violence and its profound impact on the physical, psychological, and social well-being of women. It also highlighted the importance of creating a safe family environment grounded in respect and human dignity. The campaign included a comprehensive explanation of the concept of domestic violence and its various forms, such as physical, psychological, verbal, and economic abuse, along with clarifying the extended consequences of these behaviors on women, families, and society. The campaign also emphasized the importance of legal awareness by introducing the rights guaranteed to women by law and the available protection measures. It encouraged women to seek support from the relevant authorities and not hesitate to report any violations. Al-Mustaqbal University – The First University in Iraq
