Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Prof. Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, the College of Law organized a panel discussion titled “The Negative Impacts of Drug-Related Crimes” on Sunday, 23/11/2025, in the college hall – the Humanities Building. The discussion was delivered by Dr. Thamer Ramadan Ameen, a faculty member at the College of Law, who addressed the negative consequences of drug-related crimes on individuals and society, explaining the serious health, social, and security implications caused by this phenomenon. He also highlighted the importance of integrating efforts among health, legal, and security institutions, as well as the need to develop awareness and legislative programs that help reduce the spread of drugs, emphasizing the necessity of strengthening preventive policies to reduce drug use and addiction rates.
