The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized a scientific seminar titled “Requirements of Modern Wind Power Plants in Iraq” on 25/11/2025, presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Firas Thair Raouf Al-Maliki. The seminar covered several important scientific and technical topics, including: Technical requirements of modern wind turbines and their production capacities. Criteria for selecting suitable sites for wind power plants in Iraq. Mechanisms for connecting wind power plants to transmission and distribution networks. Environmental and economic challenges facing wind energy projects. The role of universities and the private sector in supporting and developing renewable energy projects. The seminar was organized as part of the department’s efforts to enhance students’ engineering knowledge and broaden their horizons in modern and renewable energy fields.
