As part of its educational activities aimed at promoting health awareness among students, the Department of Anesthesia Technology at the College of Health and Medical Technologies – Al-Mustaqbal University launched an awareness campaign that included the distribution of specialized brochures on the impact of cats on human health. The distribution of these brochures on campus was supervised by Mr. Amir Baha Fahim and Ms. Lina Alaa Hussein. The educational content highlighted key health aspects related to interacting with cats, including the psychological and social benefits of having pets, alongside potential health risks such as allergies or the transmission of certain parasites if proper veterinary care is lacking. The brochure also emphasized the importance of healthy practices, such as washing hands after contact with animals and keeping up with regular vaccinations and veterinary check-ups. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), which aims to promote public health and prevent health risks, contributing to a safe and healthy educational environment.
