The Department of Anesthesia Technology organized a scientific and awareness activity for its students on the importance of knowing blood types for individuals preparing for marriage, held on April 11 and presented by Mr. Qasim Abbas Jafat. The activity aimed to educate students on the significance of blood type determination before marriage as part of preventive medical screening, to avoid certain hereditary health issues and diseases related to blood type compatibility between spouses, thereby contributing to early prevention and protecting the health of future families. The activity also included a practical explanation of how to determine blood types and how to use the results for health awareness, in addition to enhancing students’ understanding of the role of anesthesia technology and medical sciences in providing comprehensive healthcare services to the community. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), which focuses on promoting public health and preventing diseases through health awareness and the application of preventive medical tests.
