Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems organized a wide awareness campaign entitled “Combating Violence Against Women… Together Towards a Safe and Just World”. The campaign was carried out by Asst. Lecturer Nagah Hameed Jassim, Programmer Aya Jamal Heidy, and Programmer Aheeb Hashim Karim, as part of efforts to raise community awareness and instill a culture of rejecting all forms of violence. The campaign aimed to shed light on the dangers of physical, psychological, economic, and digital violence that women may face, and to highlight its negative effects on mental health, family relationships, and community development. It also emphasized the role of academic institutions in spreading awareness and encouraging behaviors that support equality and respect. The campaign activities included: Presenting educational materials on the most common forms of violence. Providing advice and guidance on prevention and dealing with cases of violence. Introducing available support and assistance services for affected women, such as police centers, family counseling centers, and organizations concerned with women’s rights. Motivational messages supporting women’s empowerment and encouraging the creation of a safe environment for everyone. The campaign organizers emphasized that combating violence is not merely a slogan but a shared responsibility that requires the cooperation of individuals and institutions to achieve real and sustainable societal change. This initiative aligns with the vision of the College of Science and Al-Mustaqbal University to promote humanitarian values, raise community awareness, and support social development aimed at protecting and empowering women.
