Under the patronage of the President of Future University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, the Department of Smart Medical Systems organized an awareness campaign on the occasion of World HIV/AIDS Day, presented by Teaching Assistant Aheeb Hashim Kareem, aiming to promote health awareness among students and spread a culture of prevention. The Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is a virus that attacks the immune system, weakening the body’s ability to fight infections. It is transmitted through contaminated blood, unprotected sexual contact, or from mother to child. Without treatment, it can progress to AIDS; however, modern therapies help control the virus and enable patients to live a stable life. This campaign is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to promote health culture and raise community awareness within the university.
