Digital hospitals have emerged as an advanced model in the healthcare sector, relying on the integration of modern technology across all aspects of operations and medical care, including medical record management, remote monitoring of medical devices, and precise patient data analysis. This digital transformation is a fundamental element for achieving sustainable development in healthcare, as it contributes to improving operational efficiency, reducing waste, and lowering carbon emissions. Digitization enables the effective analysis of large-scale health data, allowing medical teams to make accurate and rapid decisions in diagnosis and treatment while minimizing medical errors. Digital hospitals also reduce reliance on paper and printing, thereby decreasing carbon dioxide emissions associated with production and transportation, in addition to significantly lowering operational costs. Moreover, artificial intelligence and machine learning can be integrated into digital hospital systems to analyze health patterns, predict future medical needs, and improve medical inventory management, enhancing both financial and environmental sustainability simultaneously. These hospitals also enable remote healthcare delivery, reducing the need for travel and increasing access to services in remote areas, thus supporting both social and environmental sustainability. Ultimately, digital hospitals represent a comprehensive model that combines innovation, operational efficiency, and environmental and social sustainability. This approach aligns with the goals of sustainable development in the health sector and enhances the healthcare system’s readiness to meet future challenges effectively.
