Diabetic foot is considered one of the serious complications that occur in patients with diabetes due to nerve damage and poor blood circulation. The patient gradually loses sensation, which prevents them from feeling minor wounds or cracks. With elevated blood sugar levels, wounds heal very slowly and become susceptible to infections. These wounds may develop into ulcers if not treated promptly. Diabetic foot can be prevented through daily foot care and wearing comfortable, appropriate footwear. Maintaining stable blood sugar levels also significantly reduces complications. If any wound appears, it is essential to consult a doctor immediately to prevent the condition from worsening.
