College of Engineering Technologies Launches Chess Activity for Students
On November 30, 2025, the College of Engineering Technologies inaugurated its chess activity under the supervision of lecturer Mohammed Sabah Malik, with the attendance of several faculty members and students.
The activity aims to enhance strategic thinking skills, improve concentration, and strengthen quick decision-making among students, while also fostering healthy competition and social interaction within the academic environment.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. Notably, Muntadhar Abdulzahra, a student from the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies, achieved a remarkable victory over a student from the Computer Technologies Department in a highly competitive match.
Participants emphasized the importance of such activities, highlighting their role in developing students’ mental abilities and supporting a well-rounded educational experience.
