An Awareness Activity Organized by Sustainability Ambassadors – Forensic Evidence Department** The Sustainability Ambassadors at the Forensic Evidence Department organized an awareness activity titled "The Importance of Tourism and Its Role in Development", aiming to enhance students’ understanding of tourism as a key pillar of national economic growth, cultural exchange, and community support. The activity included explanations on the concept of sustainable tourism and how it contributes to preserving natural and cultural resources. Interactive sessions were held to introduce students to best tourism practices that respect the environment and support long-term sustainable development. Alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) This initiative aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals, including: Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by highlighting tourism as a vital driver of job creation and economic expansion. Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, through promoting responsible tourism that protects cultural and natural heritage. Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, by encouraging sustainable tourism behaviors that conserve resources. Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through collaboration between students and Sustainability Ambassadors to raise awareness of sustainable tourism. This activity reflects the commitment of the Sustainability Ambassadors to fostering sustainability principles and enhancing students’ awareness of tourism as a foundation for a prosperous and sustainable future.
