Translation: Primary Health Care and Its Role in the Community Primary health care is considered the foundation of any country’s health system, as it represents the first point of contact between individuals and health services. Its goal is to promote community health through disease prevention, early diagnosis, basic treatment, and spreading health awareness among the population. Primary health care services include several important aspects, such as maternal and child health follow-up, vaccination programs, care for chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension, as well as providing first aid and basic treatment. It also plays a significant role in the early detection of diseases before they worsen and cause serious complications. This type of care contributes to improving quality of life and reducing pressure on hospitals by managing simple and moderate cases at health centers. It also promotes health equity by offering accessible and low-cost services to all groups of society, especially in remote or underserved areas. In summary, primary health care serves as the first line of defense for community health and is an essential element in ensuring a healthier, more productive society with a better quality of life.
