The Forensic Evidence Department, in cooperation with the Community Police Unit, organized an awareness workshop titled “Violence Against Women.” The event comes as part of the College’s efforts to promote social awareness and strengthen a culture of protection and support for vulnerable groups. The workshop addressed various forms of gender-based violence, along with its psychological, social, and legal impacts. It also highlighted the available protection mechanisms and reporting channels provided by the relevant authorities. The session emphasized the importance of linking the topic of violence against women to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly Goal 5: Gender Equality and Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions—as key pillars in fostering stability and building a safe society that upholds human rights. Interactive discussions between students and lecturers enriched the workshop, contributing to deeper understanding and enhancing legal and social awareness among the youth.
