The Department of Biology – College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness campaign aimed at educating students on home-safety guidelines and methods for preventing household fires. The campaign was supervised by the faculty members:

This campaign comes as part of the department’s efforts to promote preventive awareness among students and strengthen a culture of safety. It included practical guidance on the most common causes of household fires, how to handle such incidents, and the best ways to avoid them. The campaign emphasized the importance of checking electrical wiring, avoiding leaving home appliances running unattended, ensuring safety measures when using heaters and gas, and keeping a home fire extinguisher and knowing how to use it when necessary.
The supervising instructors also distributed informational brochures across the university corridors, containing simplified information and illustrated guidelines on home-safety measures. The brochures offered practical advice to help students protect their homes and families from fire hazards, while stressing the importance of spreading preventive awareness within the community.
This campaign reflects the Department of Biology’s commitment to promoting public safety and reinforcing preventive behaviors among students, in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of supporting societal awareness and fostering a safe and responsible environment.
