Fuel and Energy Engineering Department Holds Workshop on Batch Tray Distillation Column in Cooperation with the Energy Research Center The Fuel and Energy Engineering Department, in cooperation with the Energy Research Center, held a workshop on the laboratory device Batch Tray Distillation Column (Glass) to enhance students’ practical skills. The workshop included an explanation of how the device works, which is used to separate liquid components based on their boiling points. The device features a transparent glass design that allows direct observation of the distillation process. It was also noted that the device can be used to separate some components of crude oil, but within a limited range. The workshop was presented by: Assist. Lect. Fatima Al-Zahraa Adnan and Assist. Lect. Hamid Baqir Karji The activity aims to give students the opportunity to understand the use of basic laboratory equipment in engineering labs and to gain practical experience.
