The College of Dentistry organized a scientific seminar titled "Laser in Dentistry", presented by Asst. Prof. Ali Salman Jassim, with the attendance of the college’s academic staff, as part of the college’s efforts to enhance scientific development and update the knowledge of its faculty members. During the seminar, the lecturer delivered a comprehensive presentation on the latest applications of laser technology in dentistry, highlighting its role in the accurate and effective diagnosis and treatment of various dental conditions. He reviewed the different types of dental lasers, their mechanisms of action, and their clinical advantages in procedures such as periodontal therapy, teeth whitening, conservative cavity preparation, and reducing pain and bleeding during treatment. The seminar witnessed active engagement from the faculty through questions and discussions, enriching the scientific dialogue and supporting the exchange of professional experience regarding modern techniques in the field. At the conclusion of the event, the College expressed its appreciation to the lecturer for the valuable information provided, reaffirming its commitment to organizing similar scientific seminars that contribute to advancing the knowledge and enhancing the skills of the academic staff in line with modern developments in dentistry.
