Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, The Department of Smart Medical Systems organized an awareness campaign on campus in commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The campaign was carried out by Lecturer Naja Hamid Jasim and included educational segments and informational stations that highlighted the rights of persons with disabilities and the importance of supporting their active participation in education and society. The campaign aimed to enhance awareness of the importance of providing an inclusive environment that respects human diversity, encouraging students to adopt a culture of support and respect, and shedding light on the role that smart technologies and innovative technological solutions can play in improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities and empowering them to be more independent. This activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, including: Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being — by supporting community awareness and promoting a healthy environment for all. Goal 4: Quality Education — by encouraging equality in learning opportunities and ensuring access to knowledge for all without exception. Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities — by promoting a culture of inclusion and empowering persons with disabilities within the university community. Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities — through highlighting the importance of universal access and creating supportive educational environments. The campaign received positive engagement from students, who expressed their appreciation for the significance of this initiative and its role in enhancing community awareness and reinforcing humanitarian values within the university campus.
