Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and the respected Head of the Forensic Evidence Department, The Forensic Evidence Department at the College of Science – Al-Mustaqbal University organized an on-campus awareness campaign titled: “Tips for Preventing Winter Colds.” The campaign aimed to educate university students on the most important health guidelines that help prevent winter colds, and to clarify daily habits that strengthen the immune system and maintain students’ health during the cold season. The campaign also emphasized the importance of wearing appropriate clothing, avoiding sudden exposure to cold weather, and paying attention to nutrition and warm fluids. The campaign additionally included a simplified explanation of how cold viruses spread, the key signs to watch for, and the role of the Forensic Evidence Department in analyzing biological samples that contribute to understanding the nature and spread of seasonal illnesses. This initiative comes as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to promoting health awareness among students and enabling them to adopt correct preventive behaviors, in line with the university’s mission to serve the community and enhance health culture among youth.
