he Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized a distinguished promotional campaign aimed at introducing students to the program and highlighting its scientific and humanitarian importance. The campaign was attended by the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hamza Al-Maamouri, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Firas Thaer Raouf. The campaign included a detailed presentation on the nature of study within the department and the approved academic curricula, in addition to showcasing modern models of prosthetic and orthotic devices and the technologies used in their design and manufacturing. The instructors also provided extensive explanations to students regarding future career opportunities and the role of graduates in rehabilitation centers, hospitals, and healthcare institutions. The campaign also highlighted the program’s alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including: Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by preparing graduates capable of improving the quality of life for patients and supporting their social integration. Goal 4: Quality Education, through adopting modern curricula that keep pace with global advancements in medical technology. Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by encouraging students to innovate in the design of advanced prosthetic and orthotic solutions. Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, by providing assistive technologies that support individuals with mobility impairments, especially those most in need. Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through strengthening collaboration with healthcare institutions and rehabilitation centers to enhance practical training.
