College of Engineering Technologies Launches Student Chess Activity
On December 7, 2025, the College of Engineering Technologies launched a student chess activity, supervised by Lecturer Mohammed Sabah Malik, and attended by Engineer Mohammed Rafee’, along with several faculty members and students.
The activity aims to develop strategic thinking, enhance concentration, and improve decision-making skills, in addition to supporting positive competition and social interaction among students on campus.
A number of students took part in the event, including student Muntathar Abdulzahra from the Fuel and Energy Technologies Engineering Department, who actively participated in the activity.
Participants highlighted the importance of organizing such events due to their role in enhancing students’ mental abilities and creating a balanced educational and recreational environment.
