The Department of Medical Biotechnology organized an awareness campaign entitled “AIDS”, under the supervision of the department’s teaching staff, as part of its efforts to promote health awareness and disseminate scientific knowledge among students and the university community. The campaign aimed to introduce AIDS, explain its modes of transmission, methods of prevention, and the importance of early detection, in addition to correcting common misconceptions associated with the disease and reducing social stigma, thereby contributing to the protection of public health and the promotion of healthy behaviors. This campaign comes in line with the Third Sustainable Development Goal (Good Health and Well-Being) by enhancing health awareness and disease prevention, as well as the Fourth Goal (Quality Education) through providing reliable scientific information that helps raise students’ level of knowledge. The organizers emphasized the importance of continuing such awareness activities due to their effective role in strengthening health and community awareness and enhancing the role of educational institutions in serving society and achieving sustainable development.
