The Future University Council holds its fourth session for the academic year 2025–2026 The Future University Council held its fourth session for the academic year 2025-2026, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, and in the presence of the members of the Council, and the hosting of the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, and the Captain of Engineers in Babylon, Engineer Zaman Ali Musa. The President of the University opened the session with a speech in which he welcomed the attendees, expressing his great appreciation for the efforts of the university's professors, associates and students, which resulted in remarkable achievements during the past period, including the university's lead to private universities, and recording a distinguished presence in a number of international classifications, such as: QS for Sustainability, The Times of Interdisciplinary Sciences ISR, THE Arab Universities Ranking, and UI GreenMetric. The President of the University also directed the deans of the faculties to organize periodic seminars with professors and associates to present the university's policy and develop work mechanisms, and listen to their proposals and needs, in order to enhance institutional communication and achieve a more effective university environment. In preparation for the next stage, the President of the University stressed the need to complete the preparations for the first semester exams, including creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere to ensure that students perform their exams in a way that achieves the desired results, while emphasizing the importance of verifying that students have access to basic cognitive competencies in their specialties. He also called on His Excellency to continue to involve students in activities and initiatives with a social impact, to encourage research based on realistic data and sober scientific methodologies, and to follow up the university's efforts in adopting green education trends, confronting the repercussions of climate change, and achieving a healthy environment for all. With regard to the academic process, the President of the University stressed the commitment to providing theoretical and practical lectures according to the announced schedules, and completing the courses within their specified timings, while adopting modern teaching methods in line with the developmental vision of the university, in addition to emphasizing the importance of completing the requirements of national and international programmatic accreditation as a pivotal goal for the next stage. During the session, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, gave a presentation on the research plans of the colleges, indicating the directives of the President of the University on the need to continuously follow up the implementation of the research plan, and maximize the benefit of the scientific partnerships established by the university with local and international institutions, in order to enhance its scientific reputation and active presence in the international academic arena. The meeting also included an intervention by Mr. Captain of Engineers in Babylon, Engineer Saman Ali Musa, who stressed the importance of cooperation and joint coordination with the university in implementing advanced training programs for students and professors, and discussing opportunities to expand the establishment of professional activities, including job fairs aimed at linking students to the labor market. At the end of the session, the Council discussed the topics on the agenda, and the necessary decisions and recommendations were taken to support the strategic path of the university and the development of its academic programs.
