Under the patronage of the President of AL-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdy, the Department of Cybersecurity organized today, Tuesday, 11 February 2025, the “First Cybersecurity Forum,” held in conjunction with Safer Internet Day. The event took place in the Student Activities Hall, in the presence of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Abdul-Kadhim, and the Head of the Cybersecurity Department, Asst. Prof. Dr.Ali Kadhum M. Al-Qurabat. The forum featured specialized scientific workshops in the field of cybersecurity, as well as an exhibition of outstanding student projects showcasing the latest innovations in this vital area. The event also witnessed the participation of governmental entities and cybersecurity specialists, who provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities related to data and information protection. The forum aims to enhance awareness of the importance of cybersecurity and its role in safeguarding data and information, reaffirming AL-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to providing an educational environment that fosters innovation and excellence in this critical field.
