Under the patronage of the President of Almustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani Stemming from its pivotal role in building a healthy and aware university community, Almustaqbal University launched an intensive awareness campaign titled "Tobacco Steals Your Breath... Your Health Comes First". This campaign aims to spread awareness among university students and the academic community about the health and social risks resulting from tobacco use in all its forms. The campaign emphasized that the effect of smoking is not limited to the smoker but extends to negatively affect those around them through secondhand smoke, increasing the likelihood of serious illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, and respiratory diseases. The campaign, led by a select group of faculty members, sought to achieve the following goals: encouraging students to make conscious health decisions, providing them with accurate scientific information to clarify the negative effects of tobacco on academic performance, physical activity, and professional future, and fostering a culture of the "right choice," where abstaining from tobacco is a fundamental step towards a longer and more active life. Through this initiative, Almustaqbal University asserts that student health is a top priority, and that investing in health awareness is an investment in a better future for all.
