The Department of Anesthesia Techniques at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop titled “Medication Safety”, presented by Dr. Zaidoun Abdul Wahab, aiming to raise awareness among medical and pharmaceutical staff about the safe use of medications, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being. The workshop addressed the concept of medication safety, its key principles, potential errors during different stages of drug use, and preventive strategies, in addition to the role of pharmacists and the medical team in improving treatment quality and reducing medication-related risks, which positively impacts patient safety and the effectiveness of the healthcare system. The workshop emphasized the importance of developing professional skills, supporting scientific knowledge, and fostering a culture of medication safety within healthcare institutions to ensure the provision of safe, high-quality healthcare.
