Under the patronage of the respected President of Future University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and the Head of the Department of Forensic Evidence, the Department of Forensic Evidence at the College of Science – Future University organized a scientific workshop at the Humanities Building – 2nd Floor – Hall 207 entitled: "Disability Is Not an Obstacle… Excellence Is," presented by Asst. Lecturer Riam Thaer Ahmed. The workshop aimed to highlight the concept of disability from a social and humanitarian perspective, emphasizing that the challenges associated with it are not obstacles to success and excellence; the real barrier lies in the lack of awareness and necessary support. The workshop also addressed the importance of empowering individuals with disabilities and providing suitable educational environments that enhance their active participation. The workshop included interactive discussions with students, presenting inspiring examples of individuals who overcame challenges and achieved remarkable successes, in addition to emphasizing the university’s role in supporting the principles of inclusion and social integration. This initiative reflects Future University's commitment to raising students’ social and humanitarian awareness, fostering a culture of respect for diversity, and supporting people with special needs, in line with the university’s role in serving society and promoting values of empowerment and fairness.
