As part of promoting scientific culture and enhancing students' intellectual awareness, the Forensic Evidence Department at the College of Science – Al-Mustaqbal University carried out an awareness campaign titled: “Reading Challenge… Gateway to Knowledge and Excellence,” with the participation of Asst. Lecturer Howaida Nazzal Hussein and Waqar Jaffat Jasim.
The campaign aimed to encourage students to cultivate the habit of reading as a fundamental tool for building scientific personality, developing critical thinking, and expanding cognitive horizons, in addition to highlighting the role of reading in improving students’ academic and research skills. The campaign also emphasized the importance of continuous engagement in various scientific and humanistic fields.
The campaign included interactive dialogues and meetings with students, introducing the concept of the “Reading Challenge” and illustrating its impact on raising cultural and scientific levels, while motivating students to actively participate in cultural activities that enhance their intellectual and research skills.
This initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, notably: Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
This initiative reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to supporting cultural and intellectual activities and promoting the role of students in building a conscious and educated society, in line with its academic mission to prepare a generation capable of creativity and excellence.
