The Psychological Counseling Unit at the Faculty of Education, Al-Mustaqbal University, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa El-Din Abdullah, Head of the Unit, organized an awareness workshop entitled "Mental Health in an Unequal World" on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in the Student Activities Hall at the Medical Building. This workshop is part of the Psychological Counseling Unit's programs aimed at promoting mental health awareness among students and affiliates, highlighting the challenges individuals face under unjust social conditions, their impact on mental health, and how to address them using sound scientific methods. Professor Dr. Thanaa also prepared an awareness brochure for World Mental Health Day, which falls on October 10th each year. The brochure, entitled "Mental Health is a Right for All… Let's Make It a Reality – Mental Health in an Unjust World," includes key concepts and guidelines that contribute to raising awareness of mental health for all members of society. The workshop was met with enthusiastic participation from attendees, who praised the importance of the presentation and the depth of the information provided. They emphasized the academic community's need for such impactful initiatives that contribute to supporting students psychologically and enhancing their ability to cope with pressures and challenges.
