On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the Dean of the College of Education honored Professor Thanaa Bahaa El-Din Abdullah, Head of the Psychological Counseling Unit at the College, by awarding her the Shield of Excellence in recognition of her outstanding efforts in commemorating World Mental Health Day. This honor was bestowed in celebration of her significant scientific contributions. During the event, she presented two workshops addressing mental health in unequal environments and ways to enhance psychological awareness among students and faculty, thereby fostering a healthy and supportive university environment. In her address, the Dean emphasized that this recognition aligns with the College's vision of supporting scientific initiatives that contribute to student well-being and the development of their psychological and social skills. She also commended the Psychological Counseling Unit for its active role and efforts in serving the university community. This event is part of a series of activities through which the college seeks to promote a culture of mental health and emphasize that mental health is a right for all, in line with the themes of this year's World Mental Health Day.
