The Department of Media at the College of Arts and Humanities organized a workshop at the Department of Cosmetic and Laser Technologies entitled “The Crime of Electronic Blackmail: Causes, Effects, and Remedies.”
The workshop was delivered by lecturer Nuwamas Al-Khalidi from the Department of Media, College of Arts and Humanities, and was attended by faculty members, staff, and students of the Department of Cosmetic and Laser Technologies within the College of Health and Medical Technologies. During the workshop, the lecturer highlighted key issues related to electronic blackmail, including important warnings, methods of self-protection, and ways to avoid falling victim to such crimes. He also explained the seriousness of electronic blackmail, the legal penalties associated with it, its negative effects, and possible ways of addressing and preventing it.
At the conclusion of the lecture, which was well received by the audience, the Dean of the aforementioned college and the Head of the concerned department expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the Deanship of the College of Arts and Humanities and the Department of Media for this valuable initiative. A certificate of appreciation was also presented to the lecturer, signed by the respected President of the University.
