Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, the Department of Intelligent Medical Systems organized an awareness campaign aimed at emphasizing the importance of rationalizing water consumption as a national and societal responsibility that contributes to preserving natural resources and safeguarding the rights of future generations. This campaign comes in response to the growing challenges facing water resources, particularly in light of unsustainable consumption practices and accelerating climate change. The campaign focused on enhancing environmental awareness and fostering a culture of responsible water use within the community. It also highlighted the importance of adopting sound practices—such as repairing leaks, using water-saving tools and technologies, and implementing modern irrigation methods—given their effective role in protecting water resources, conserving biodiversity, and supporting both health and food security. The organizers of the campaign affirmed that water represents the foundation of life, and that preserving it is a humanitarian and national duty requiring the integration of efforts by individuals and academic institutions alike. Such collaboration contributes to building a conscious and responsible society, advancing the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, and ensuring the sustainability of natural resources for present and future generations.
