College of Dentistry Holds an Awareness Workshop Against Terrorism on the International Day for Countering Extremism

The College of Dentistry organized an awareness workshop entitled “Countering Terrorism and Extremism” on the occasion of the International Day for Countering Extremism, delivered by Dr. Ahmed Turki Hani, with the attendance of the academic staff, as part of the College’s commitment to promoting intellectual awareness and reinforcing the values of moderation and rejection of violence within the academic community. The workshop addressed several key topics focusing on the concept of extremism, its intellectual and social causes, and methods of prevention, in addition to highlighting the role of academic institutions in building a balanced scientific discourse that contributes to protecting society from extremist ideologies. The lecturer also explained the negative impacts of terrorism on security, stability, and development. The College emphasized that organizing such workshops contributes to creating a safe and stable university environment, promoting a culture of peace and social responsibility, in line with the goals of sustainable development, particularly those related to building peaceful societies that support scientific progress. This workshop comes as part of the College of Dentistry’s efforts to enhance the awareness of academic staff, strengthen its educational role, and contribute to building a conscious and responsible university community.
